How to avoid be scammed - Harmful Links!

Well i just released a video on youtube, i will put it at the end of this blog but i will put this in words for those of you who do not feel like they want to watch it.

Scamming is found in every game, there is no way to avoid it but there is ways to prevent it. In this guide i will teach you how to avoid harmful links that other habbos link into the chat so that you will click on it and have it be stolen. Ok, well the first thing i want to start this off with is entering rooms, now this might be a weird way to start this but it is very much so a way of you getting scammed. Now a day's in habbo, whenever you enter a public room, usually you get a whisper saying "oh go visit this site blah blah blah." Well once they do that most of them give you links, like maybe to youtube to watch their video or maybe to a habbo group page. Well i have also seen scammers setup a popular room and have a ton of people fill it and then once people enter, they get a whisper telling them to go visit a scamming site, like www.freecredits.tk. Now this is where many habbos fail to realize these malicious sites, there are too excited to go and get free credits to realize that this is just a scamming website. Due to habbo being mostly filled with teenagers between the ages of 12-16, they have not been taught the lessons of internet scamming and are usually the victims of this horrible act. Well i can give you a few hints to dodge these scamming sites and keep playing habbo the way it is supposed to be played.

First way to avoid these sites, is to avoid all links people put into chat unless you know that person personally or you know it is not a scamming website. I see so many sites where people make a website and name it so close to the actual website, that people actually click on it and either they are instantly keylogged or they put in their info and eventually get hacked. So please, make sure when someone, anyone, puts a link into their chat DO NOT CLICK IT! I have been scammed MANY times before and please take my advice, do not fall for these links as they will only hurt you in the end. This is how i help other habbo's with this problem whether it is a scamming website or not, if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS A SCAMMING WEBSITE! If someone spams into chat "Habbo staff positions have just opened up, go visit www.scam.tk and apply today!" Now of course they will not make it that obvious but everyone knows that you do not just become staff by applying on a random website, this should be obvious but so many people fall for it. And one more thing to this, credits and furniture are NEVER free unless their is a giveaway in game or someone is physically trading you it. Any website that advertises free credits or furni is a SCAMMING WEBSITE!

Thank you very much for reading this post, hopefully a few of you habbos will be protected by this guide and hopefully stay rich and keep having fun.

Thanks,
Kyle B.
